Food Outings across 2 weeks

Last week, went out with Shaun for lunch at Mayim at West Mall... Liked the food to a certain extent.... ordered some dim sum ... "lok mai kai" "chee cheong fun" and the "Ok-only" xiaolongbao....

and my favourite soup...overall enjoyed the meal.. and especially nice to go out with shaun.. lol.. cos i always bully him de..haha... bad junyang hur... LOL...

Watched Haeundae after wich with Shaun at West Mall... Movie quite nice... quite funny from the start.. surprisingly huh? Its kinda korean humour...

Den the end of the story was quite scary... watching how people die... but overall the movie was quite nice and there's a climax there.... =)

RATINGS: 7/10

My family went out for lunch on Saturday, dine at our family favourite restaurant, Swensen's... as usual i will order the same sticky chewy chocolate ice cream... and wads different today is i ordered a new item from their new menu... wich is the curry (soft-shell) crab pasta....although not a seafood lover... i do like soft shell crab.. (but must drink a lot of water if not i feel choked)... taste wise OK only.... prefer the usual chicken baked rice best... =)

RATINGS: 6/10

Last but not least, this was the claypot rice I had with my parents last last Sunday.... I love claypot rice... i love the claypot rice from this stall... cos they make it only when you arrived.... unlike those fake stalls that only heat it up for you... ITS REEELLLLL.... and i love "la chang".... and the nice smell of the rice from the claypot...they make it when u order!!! NO WONDER I KEEP ON "CLAYPOT" (For "bet-ters" you know what i mean) .. lol.... This is from one of the coffee shops at Bukit Batok East... Take 176, 188 or 941 can reach... Blk 15X. =) Near St Luke's Hospital I think. Also liked their tom yum soup.

RATINGS: 8/10

Dine at Bonjangles Pub with my parents yesterday... at Woodgrove Shopping Centre (I guess only... at Woodlands Al'meen (912 can reach)). We decided to give it a try... at a pub for lunch... the service was excellent... not many patrons... the food was good.... special in a way... black pepper chicken.... lol... with potatoes.... once in a while, its good to try something different. Guess the meal was like $9.50 per person on average... with a drink and a jelly.

RATINGS: 6.5/10

Dine at Fig & Olive last last Saturday with family at Jurong Point... had always wanted to try out their food.. looks creative... service was a big dissapointment... the staff were quite blur and took wrong orders.... -_-" ... and den they had quite a lot of staff.... 2 managers and 4 waiter/waitresses... 1 standing at the entrance to stare at you (more like driving customers away rather than asking them in) .... most of them were phillipinos and i guess they didnt know singaporeans like to look at the menu, decide for themselves and walk in ... instead of being pulled in through persuasion bah.... as u know singaporean are beri timid.. everything must read black and white den can decide de.. lol....

The food wise was great... the chicken i had was tender and the spaghetti was nice.. the overall taste is unique, special and delicious. My mum's fish n chips and my dad's chicken with rice i tink... was nice too.... the soup had its taste... quite good also...

Ambience was good.. cos we are the only family apart from one table of a single customer.... Save for the staff, i think the management needs to train the staff to be more proactive... they were proactive... but empty talk... my mum asked for pepper and the staff politely say yes... and den went on to talk to his colleague... den it was only until the 3rd time did the staff, after asking his colleague to bring the pepper to us.. -_-" ....
