We went to Plaza Singapura initially.... den they told us their restaurant is full.... Its the $10.20++ Buffet.... But its hi-tea buffet..3pm to 5pm... they say need wait till 330pm...
Btw, you cannot make any reservation if you have a group smaller than 6 before going there.... and you have to register with them at 2pm on that day itself... so as to get a queue number to get in to the restaurant at 3pm. Sounds like some free food affair again...
Den we decided to head down to Novena outlet instead.... haha.. wait for abt 10 mins...
Reached there... weida say we here for some "gian peng" outing.... cos you have to share the table with about 2 other groups... =X Cos their restaurant is extremely
full de.... They have like a table for 10 and you share the table... =X ...
And den u have to see the queue to take your food... juz like some gian peng people queueing up for food.... diaoz... we queued too... Nothing much.... the queue was only for about 10 types of dishes....
You can order 6 types from menu.... so it has less than 20 items for you to eat! Xiaolongbao and a few others.... the rest have to queue up and take..... Worst thing is you reach there...not necessary have food... cos some are empty.. not much food to eat...
Anyway, thank god the xiaolongbao can order many times.... but den their lamian is seriously not impressive at all! =X Looks like shit.... =X Not nice.. one mouthful only... we were tinking of some nice lamian.... =X...
The dim sum generally standard not bad... above average... but den.... limited variety.... poor service.... poor ambience.... bill came up to be $13.50 per person... Not too cheap given the variety. Thumbs down!
Please do not get the impression that there is a lot of food... These photos contribute to about 90% of what they have for their buffet... So you can see how limited the buffet is....
Perhaps its the school holiday.... tats y so many people.... but den.... eh.... the way the buffet runs.... 3-5pm... i dun tink i would visit them anytime soon...
Weida suggest we go back to miramar hotel for the dim sum buffet...wich has nicer desserts, dim sum and porridge at $12.80++!
