Visited this city! =) The Effiel Tower didnt seem as majestic as I think it is. It is only like 60 floors at most I guess. It looks so small! OMG! Didnt really like city guided tour. You can see lots of nice and old buildings. But you cant alight! Zzz.. Its akin to going online to view pictures, isnt it? Thankfully we took up the optional cruise tour to view the city and take pictures of these monuments during the Seine River Cruise. -_-"
Seriously speaking the Seine River Cruise really made up for the lousy city tour where you really cant visit anything. -_-"
Love the breeze on the river while the cruise is cruising. Too bad only 1 day in Paris. I think it would be lovely if we can have another day to walk around Paris on our own.
What surprises me is that the people in France and Switzerland are smaller in built. You can see caucasians slimmer and shorter than you! LOL...
For Switzerland, most likely is because they are too many slopes and they need to walk a lot.
Generally most are skinny.... I think probably for France they need to maintain slim, to save up and buy for branded goods like Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton Bag!
Anyway, Paris is definitely not a good place for shopping if you are not going for branded goods. Those branded stuffs are still in their thousands although its like 20% to 30% cheaper than Singapore.
As for drinks and all. They cost around Singapore's price, just that it is in EURO, meaning everything you see costs double and a bit more minimum to 4 times. A fastfood meal for a family of 5 costs around SIN$80. (40 Euros) Coke is about SIN$4 for a 500ML bottle.
Anyway, in France, they do not speak English. So you will have hell difficulties to order food and buy things. Their menu is in French by the way. Thankfully I got my way through with a few lousy French words that seem to allow me to order correctly. Haha..
And... They have a lot of blacks. Didnt know there are so many blacks in France! Think there is make up about 20 per cent of the population.
