19/11/09 - Langham Place / Convention Centre / Causeway Bay
The final full day liao... Ate breakfast at the tea house next to our hotel... This breakfast okay only... guess i didn’t really like soup base noodles.. but nonetheless for HK25 ($4.50) its a hell lot of food... with free coffee.. LOL..
Headed for Langham Place at Mongkok... It was the place where one of the Hong Kong dramas was filmed ... remember the escalators and the information counter the 2 actors usually meet? LOL... Nothing much leh the shopping centre.. expected a lot more... its like a 14 floors shopping centre... but not many shops on one floor...
We had mango dessert there...mango puree i tink... damn nice... LOL... and yam egg pudding.. quite nice oso..
Of course, my main purpose is to get hold of the 80M bus models.. had been wanting to add in some bus models to my current collection since my last visit to Hong Kong. Mission accomplished. LOL... I swiped over HK12,000 ($2200) there.... tink i bought 30 over 1/76 models and a few mini QQ buses... have them delivered by air .... should be here earliest tml or next week...
Think i stood at the shop for around 3 hours... really paiseh tsianhwee for wasting his time there... really sorry... cos the staff was busy looking for the buses i point to her... den she look up and down for boxes and the buses... and den we had to come back later as they calculate the delivery costs....
We had lunch later... quite ordinary fare... average to below average... Den we headed down to Convention Centre at Hong Kong Island.... Had a nice view of Kowloon Island... lol... from Hong Kong Island.... quite a nice timing... it was 540pm.. we snap some shots of the afternoon view... and by 545pm the sky was getting dark...we took night view...after the police raise down their flags at 6pm at the centre.... we then headed down to Causeway Bay to see what human traffic is like... lol... we took tram there... haha... reached liao.. the SOGO junction is as usual damn crowded... with loads of people walking in high speed.. lol... as you can see the pictures.. as if a car just passed by.... lol... the traffic was closed for humans to walk... lol... we passed by a lonely street and saw people queuing up to buy “la chang fan”.... so we decided to sit down and order and taste... wah... the smell really nice... food oso... “shi quan shi mei” lor.... den we oso ordered some fisheggs (fishballs in Singapore) and siewmai.... eh... their siew mai not as nice as the ones in Singapore leh.. same taste as the one we had in the hotel... a little bit small.. full of flour.. and then dipped with soya sauce de... -_-“
We then took a tram to see Hong Kong Island once more before we head back to Kowloon.... It was their TVB station’s 42th anniversary show tat night but too bad the show ended 15 minutes after we reached our hotel.
Can look at their 42th anniversary show here though. Just found it on tudou.com

Oh ya... we had dessert at Hui Lau Shan (Xu Liu Shan) .. Their desserts are darn nice.. Go Hong Kong never eat their desserts = Never go Hong Kong.. even their guided tours bring you to one of their outlets when you visit Hong Kong. Its quite nice.. and there is a variety to choose from... I tink mine was with gui ling gao ... and their mango.. NICE DAO... lol...and i ordered a mango tang yuan oso.. lol...
From my observation in Tokyo and Hong Kong, people of both places seem to have better customer service, treating customers better compared to Singapore. People are also generally more polite, even in Hong Kong. Singapore kinda stinks now. Everywhere you go people are quite rude to each other. Their bus and train services come faster than those in Singapore. Even for these two busy and crowded cities, their transport services seem better than those in Singapore. We do not have to wait as long as that you can get in Singapore.
