Finally start my MC Project....
After one day of hesitation to do my MC project, I finally touched my MC assignment on Thursday... didnt do much though... but I managed to do somemore on Friday... its like less than 300 words as of now.... Haix.... Gotta try touching up at least 50% of it by Sunday.... =)
I didnt realise I have not blogged for over a week. Had been so slack... huh? LOL...
Probably the best way to motivate me is to look at this bus picture "DIRT!" .... LOL... Saw this cool ad 2 weeks ago and took it down.. i tink if i am lazy... look at it... YOU ARE DIRT!!!... eh no... i not dirt must continue doing project... lol...
Went out with Shaun and Kenneth last Thursday... We had beef noodles at Lai Lai, Jurong Point... I love the beef gravy soup and noodles! LOL... and it comes as a set at about $16 if i didnt remember wrongly..
one noodle + one tofu + one milk tea (600ML)... quite expensive actually but i will visit them soon.. because they gave us a $5 voucher... and we intend to eat it next thursday! LOL...
We then proceed to watch "Tooth Fairy". Tooth Fairy quite nice.... I give it 7 stars... its funny and you laugh through the movie. The idea of the ROCK being punished to become a tooth fairy is simply hilarious... fit fit guy wear wings behind and taking away children's tooth to get money from fairy god mother... quite funny lor...
RATINGS: 7/10
Went out with Zhenhui and Tsian Hwee on Saturday! We had dinner at Lerk Thai. Tsian say its Jerk Thai at first reading.. actually to be fair... the logo seems like Jerk Thai to me too at the first reading.... Wonder what is the meaning of Lerk...
haha... quite sad they didnt sell the circular otah fish cake wich i liked. cos sold out... haix.... had tom yum noodles and some pandan chicken... overall the food is ok... soso.. i give it 6 stars out of 10.
The price is one factor that brings the grading down... cos its quite expensive in my opinion... they count the pandan chicken by piece ($3 each) the lemongrass drink was unique...
We then proceed to watch "The Spy Next Door".. its actually one of the movies i wanted to watch most.. because it seems like its going down soon and i havent watched it.... expect it to be soso to 6.5 star show.. but it turned out to be a 8 star show....
RATINGS: 8/10
LOL... I liked the movie!!!! Enjoyed it! Jackie Chan is back with his action packed thriller.... and he displays stunts again! LOL... its unlike his previous Shinjuku Incident where he act like some big kungfu noob.. lol.. The movie is also funny and we laughed through... =) If you havent watched it, please do it this weekend before it goes down! =)
Had Mac the other day... and was pretty pissed off with the pricing... I liked Prosperity Burger very much actually... and used to patronise them like once in a forthnight to eat this burger.... i saw the price lately and was quite surprised it costs me a bomb.... didnt eat it until one fine day i couldnt resist the temptation to eat...
The prosperity burger meal was $9.85... The burger costed like $6 ala carte... and den u have to top up ur fries... and auntie upsize my green tea without telling me the price... only realised it when i sat down to eat.. burger quality same... except the price is now $9.85.. was $7.95 last year with an orange tea.... A 23% increase in price!!!... Sent it to stomp anyway... Hope Mac can lower down the price next year...
Recession over doesnt mean we are rich by over 20%....
Had lunch alone on Thursday at Bishamon Ramen Restaurant.... The $9.25 set meal lor... Gyoza+Ramen+Green Tea....
Went to Old Airport Road Hawker Centre today.... to eat my favourite Wanton Mee.. i tink its rather good... and its finally opened..... Hup Kee Wanton Mee ... #01-02... they close for about a month the other time... dunno why... i love their chilli, wanton and char siew... LOL.... This is the $4 version... I think the $3 version looks more appetizing to me... next time order $3 version..haha...

Liang Court KTV Outing
Went to Liang Court with Zen and Tsian on Sunday...
We wanted to try the KTV facilities in one of their newest outlets.... Anyways, these days we prefer going to Partyworld KTV rather than Kbox that acts like they are the only KTV in Singapore and always charges us extra costs in the bills. And oso Partyworld has a lot of toys that you can play with while singing... its come with massge chair somemore in a room... though we didnt use it...
Sang a lot of songs over the 4 hour period... and enjoyed 2 bubble teas each for the songs.... quite like their bubble tea... soothing for the throat as u sing! =)
But kinda sad.... we seem older these days... we are still singing older songs in the late 1990s to early 2000s....
Walked out of Liang Court after which, and we walked across Clarke Quay.... Reached Central... Oh my.... The shopping centre, not opened more than 2 years... is deserted already.... about 40% of the shops are not operating .... and its like a complete maze... walking around the shopping mall... not able to find an escalator or an exit out of the shopping mall.. juz like the ion... seriously... the design of the shopping mall sucks....
I wonder if Ion will survive 2 years down the road, especially when a food court stall in their basement is $10,000 a month and its a shopping centre tat i dread most because I feel trapped whenever I step in.... =X
Had Sakae Sushi with Weiqi and Roger after school.. we went to West Mall for the buffet... Youth Student Buffet.. (3-6pm) on weekdays with student card.... The bill came up to $17.50 per person after taxes... =) Pretty worth it...
They have a free side dish worth $5.59 and 1 red plate.... and 3 mochis included apart from the free flow of $2.29 sushi....
Probably we havent been to Sakae Sushi for a long time bah... tats y we managed to order more... Though i still prefer Suki Sushi overall....

Public Bus 138 gets hijacked in Singapore
Here's a new way to get a FREE Maxi Cab in Singapore. Hijack a public bus in Singapore.
A PRC couple together with a 90 year old granny, a female friend and a maid boarded a SBS bus without wheelchair accessibility at Mandai and was told by the bus captain that they were not allowed to bring the wheelchair up the bus due to safety reasons. However, they insisted on doing so and sat on the bus for 6 hours, refusing to leave!
The bus captain has no choice but to stop the bus along the road and after informing the SBS’s headquarters, transferred the other passengers alread aboard to another bus, but still the PRC family did not alight from the bus.
The police were alerted to the scene to settle the dispute to no avail. The five of them continued to cry, wail and scream on the bus that they want to go home.
They kept complaining to the policemen:
“We want to go home! We haven’t had lunch yet or gone to the loo! There are no buses now to go back, what should we do?”
When interviewed by Lianhe Wanbao, 48 year old Madam Lin who worked in the media industry said angrily:
“The bus did not put out any sign that forbid wheelchairs to be brought up and we did not commit any crime. So why was the bus stopped by the road and refused to fetch us home?”
It is not revealed if Madam Lin is a new citizen, PR or foreigner, but since the couple are together with a maid, it is likely that they are PRs or new citizens living here in Singapore.
Madam Lin eventually requested SBS to call a cab to send them home which it did by arranging a Maxi Cab for them free of charge which ended the 5 hour fiasco.
This is the second time within a week that PRCs found themselves mired in controversy due to their public behavior which does not quite fit into the usual social etiquette of Singaporeans.
Two days ago, Shin Min Daily published an article about an unruly PRC lady customer who walked off without paying her fare upon calling a cab and even lodged a police report against the taxi-driver who tried to ask her to pay up.
She subsequently made a formal complaint to the taxi company which terminated the services of the driver a few days later.
On 16 January 2010, we reported the story of a PRC woman staging a solo “protest” at the Ministry of Education Headquarters at Buona Vista for the last two days to demand that MOE transfer her child to a top primary school in Singapore.
Though MOE has already offered to place her child in another school in the vicinity she lives in, but she continues to insist that she be given a place in the school of her choice.
She was reported to be in the MOE building till 12 midnight last night and only left after the police threatened her with arrest if she continues to loiter in a government building.
According to the latest update from our source:
“The saga continues today too! Still hanging around with child in tow!!”
Due to the ruling party’s liberal immigration policies, foreigners now make up 36 per cent of Singapore’s population with the significant proportion coming from mainland China.
Singapore’s strongman Lee Kuan Yew said in a recent interview with The National Geographic magazine that it is a “good thing” for Singapore to welcome so many Chinese immigrants as they are more “hard-driving” and “hard-striving”.
For once, Lee’s “prediction” is accurate: they are indeed more “hard-driving” than Singaporeans as the above examples have shown.

Calcutta by Dr. Bombay
LOL.... After the cabbie crashing accident into Tiong Bahru Plaza 7 Eleven in Christmas, here comes the Toa Payoh NTUC car crash. I wonder why, but Singaporeans are getting better with their cars.
25 December: Cabby Crashes into 7 Eleven.
17 January: Car reverse and crashes into NTUC.

Steamboat Affair
Havent met Darian and the rest for a long time liao, like almost a year plus. LOL... Darian is back from the States for a week and we met up.
darian sucks... lol... the 1st thing he say was "you are getting fatter".. zzz.... luckily wee koon helped me by saying "darian, you are losing your hair"... lol... =)
Met them at the steamboat restaurant across Bukit Timah Shopping Centre.... Had a lot of catching up. LOL... Things has been changing so much in my camp actually... lol... those girls btw, are my army colleagues. LOL...
In the dinner were 3 person whom i dunno... lol... kinda funny.. but they knew my understudies... lol... who didnt come for the meal.
The soup base wasnt to my liking... Didnt have my favourite "Ma La" soup.... i guess they didnt order it.... it was either chicken soup or tomyum soup.... the tomyum soup tasted like the one in Seoul Garden.. lol... and they didnt take tomyum soup too.... so i ended up drinking most of the tomyum soup base from my side..
The meal was pretty cheap I would say... only $18 nett after everything... but it was weekday deal.... but i didnt like the meat they cut... they were too many bone parts in the sliced meat... so i had to puke the small bones after eating the meat...
Had a nice evening dinner with them.... look forward to meeting up with them soon... lol...
Watched "Chaw" on Monday... Was alone.... Went to Cineleisure to watch it... lol...
The movie was quite nice... Enjoyed it thru.. some korean humour and all... koreans can be creative in movies.. lol.... although some of the scenes were gross and dirty.. the story is about a mutated pig that eats humans in the forest... enjoyed the movie overall... a contradict to weida's OK only lor... i tink it deserves 7.5/10. =)
Had lunch at BBQ Chicken after tat at cine... I love the way they prepare chicken... they use olive oil.. lol... like the taste of its bbq chicken... the meal only cost me $7.90 with a coke... student special.. =)... a 7/10 for everything...
2nd day of school... Roger brought me and Weiqi to eat western food at one of the coffee shops in Jurong East.... had a $5 bbq chicken fried rice.... too much rice i would say.. but overall its above average... a 7/10 would be cool....

9th Day Of The Year!
《美味天王》主题曲 by 群星
Its the 9th day of the year already. Time seems to have passed very fast. Like havent do anything already the 9th day liao. I am actually like loss of words, dunno wad to write.
1st day school was pretty horrible. School starts at 330pm and ends at 630pm. Met Anwen and all for lunch before heading for class. The 1st day they wanted us to form a group of 6 or 7 and guess what? WE GOT NO GROUP MEMBER AGAIN!
Cos we are a group of 3... plus another 3... and we cant find another 3 persons... most groups have like 5 persons and they just need 1 or 2 more... kinda sucky.. found 1 more and hope we can find 2 other members next week.. we have 4 now... zzz...
Went to the Hospital on Thursday for my routine blood pressure. My blood pressure reads 117/76... asked the doctor for clarification and he told me the normal blood pressure is 120/80. I am clear of high blood pressure! Finally... its quite cool to hear that, especially when my blood pressure has been in its 140/90 for the past 2 years.
Had dinner at Alexandra Village Hawker Centre. Had Orh Luak for dinner. Quite sinful isnt it? The presentation is close to 10 points... but food wise.. its a mere 6.5 pointer kind of orh luak... not too satisfying but edible...
Also had satay there... the sign reads Old Punggol Satay, but I think its taken over by the daughter... pretty young... about the same age as me... but anyways they are shifting in feb to geylang bahru nd somewhere in the south... near alexandra... Food wise was like 8 pointers. i enjoyed their satay..
Of course, I will buy avocado milkshake from there... its damn nice.. full of avocado and milk at only $2! =) Cant find avocado milkshake as good as this elsewhere in Singapore! =)
Had "Zui Jia Bao" after tat.... i love this dessert.. but only to be taken once in a while as it can be quite sweet. but i love the skin a lot... lol..
Anyways, my final perm PES Status has been confirmed. Its C9L3 perm. A sigh of relief finally... I will die with all those IPPT failure things to come if its Pes B1L1. Pretty cool but the reason that ended me up with this pes.. was more towards my weight problems...
Met up with Timothy and Shaun they all on Friday... Had dinner.. supposed to bring them to eat the mala steamboat at tiong bahru... the one zhenhui recommended to me in which i find that its good and value for money but we ended up at hoe kee "tzi char" ...
My 1st time there. timothy did the ordering.. and i would say the food we ordered was fantastic.. i give it 8.5/10. =) These are ordinary dishes. but they can really cook well! =)
The sweet and sour pork was good.. the tofu was fantastic with some sea cucumber beneath the tofu.... the sauce for the spare ribs was also fantastic. Had a mango milk ice after tat at tiong bahru market.. simply delicious at 7.5/10... =)
It was a once in a while outing as Timothy travels around the world almost every other day and he drops by in Singapore once in like 3 - 4 months... LOL... it was a short outing, just some chit chat and catching up... didnt join them for pool because i HATE THIS GAME TO THE MAX!
Anyways, its kinda funny.. Timothy kept wanting to help people "Jio girls".. by trying to help people matchmake if they see that the girl is pretty and are too afraid to "jio" .... and he got his retribution..
Somewhere while we were walking on the roads some guy came and "jio" him instead.. he got a rude shock and we laughed! LOL... imagine you are a guy walking halfway and suddenly another guy pops out in front of you and say "can I be your friend?" ... timothy was kinda loss for words.. QUITE FUNNY! =)
Went out with my family today... walked around Bugis Junction... wow.. the basement has changed so much... i havent been there for like 2 years already... lol... everything in the basement has changed....! pretty stunning...
Had lunch at Siam Kitchen.... We ordered the fish cake tat doesnt taste nice... the pandan chicken tat doesnt have any nice smell except for the oil spilling out.. kinda sucky... thankfully the pineapple rice, normal chicken, lemon grass drink and vermicelli managed to pull up the standards.. i give it a 6/10.
Had porridge after tat at clementi for 1st dinner.. bought satay home for 2nd dinner... as you know the standard for the porridge has dropped a little but its still edible at 6.5/10. =)
