Bird-days

Went out with Zhenhui to La Mei Zi Chongqing Steamboat @ Novena for Mala Steamboat today! =) It has been a while since I last went for such steamboat liao... LOL... Verdict: Shuang!... lol.... cos i like such buffets! =) but i tink their meat assortment quite little... a bigger section dedicated for seafood... rather... lol.. but ambience there not bad la... and oso much cooler den Chuan Yi Pin @ Bugis =) .... food wise... above average.. but i still overall prefer the meat i ate at Chuan Yi Pin.. =)

Did a little bit of catching up... walked around Square 2 and Novena Square b4 tat... =)

Anyways, had a busy week... emo week rather... was confined to this little room of mine at home.. rushing through my EG group assignment... and den the HRM assignment... finally get myself off the hook from projects... =X


A lot of people birthday these few days.... Gonggong's 82th Birthday... celebrated at Toa Payoh Lorong 7 Hawker centre last saturday.... ate czi char.. wow... a lot of dishes... around 10..

unfortunately the place was too dark and i was unable to snap any photos.... had shark's fins, crab, prawn, fish, chicken, beancurd, pork ribs, and yam chicken.. urmmmm.... wah... so many dishes i dun eat de... LOL.... but still got lots of beancurd wich i ate a lot... lol.. had a lot of catching up with my cousins... =)



Den was the cake cutting at gonggong's house =) Chocolate Cake.. lol... a lot of people quite full... but i darn hungry... LOL... i ate like 4 slices? LOL... =) Quite nice de cake... bought from bangkit road de... LOL...




Celebrated my dad's birthday on Monday.... ordered a Swensen's ice cream cake from Bukit Panjang Plaza.... cos got 20% off voucher... lol... quite nice... =) its all chocolate again.. diaoz... =X




Went out with Tsian Hwee last saturday.... did a bit of catching up.... went to eat at Men-Ichi at Jurong Point... had a $10 voucher to deduct.. lol.... The ramen was absolutley delicious....



had the fatty meat for free with the $10 voucher oso... LOL... I love the overall taste of the tofu and the ramen.. really look forward to visiting them soon... =) The fatty meat was quite good too.... =)



We den proceed to watch "Where got Ghost" .... The movie plot is funny... but den i would recommend it at $6 weekday ticket bah... $8 kinda ex... lol... the stories are of singaporean context... close to us... funny in a way... juz dun understand the 2nd story.. why the 2 nsmen take shortcut must die... Zzz.... =X

Went out with family to eat Kobayashi @ Lot 1 today... Nice noodle pizza... Loved it since i first ate it at its 1st outlet in cine... the beef kimchi noodles wasnt nice... not of standard though.





Went out with Roger and Weiqi one of the days to eat Mexican Chicken at Jurong West coffee shop... =) Quite tasty with the mexican sauce... =)

Over the holidays

Busy doing project during the holidays... Supposedly so... but my progress was ultra slow. I can strictly say I didnt really do anything. My goodness.. -_-" ...


Anyway, I suggested eating Swensen's for lunch on the day after national day... My dad got a surprise when all my brothers came out from their rooms, all prepared to go Swensens to eat their ice cream. Seems like Swensen's "wei-li" darn big in my family. Usually when you mention Jack's Place or Mayim or Crystal Jade... my brothers would say... I DUN WAN TO GO.


Urm.. I think the brand name "Swensens" hold a very sentimental value in my family. Remember my 1st visit was at Thomson Plaza way back in 1992 i guess... b4 my youngest brother was born.... Remember theres "Coit Tower" then already... den u take away the flag.. and the cherry to eat.. den throw the stem on the table.. LOL.. den my family signed up as their member in 1995 at Northpoint Branch... the fiercest period was in the early 2000s when my family had Swensens every friday... only ice-cream yeah.... in fact i can say this.. i eat more swensens den i eat rice... LOL.. no lah... juz joking... probably if you compare seafood... it is.


My all-time favourite at swensen's is "sticky chewy chocolate" and "chicken baked rice"...


Anyway, they had a new menu... with new add-ons.... Durian Supreme Ice Cream... ordered it to try.... lots of attap seed... with a nice fragrant durian ice cream smell... not beri good when u eat the whole thing by urself... will get sick of it. the first few bites were nice...

My brother ordered Milo Indulgence Ice Cream.... but he complained the milo was not thick enuff..


Beef Stroganoff baked Rice... i tried it.... nice beef slices... quite good... but a little bit salty.. dun really like it...

My verdict.... I ONLY LIKE their STICKY CHEWY CHOCOLATE AND CHICKEN BAKED RICE. LOL...

Anyways.... had been doing projects ever since Tuesday.... Tuesday and Wednesday was hell... in school the whole day like noone else's business.... And irritating thing is.... we dunno wad we supposed to do for the project....

Have been busy over the week...

Sunday had lunch with my family at Jurong Point.... my dad had tis craving for DING TAI FUNG for over a year liao...




Seriously I hate DING TAI FUNG to the core... cos i ate twice.. both sucks... LOL... cos i tink their xiaolongbao is sucky... too much flour .. hard like rock.... noodles quite disgusting oso ... YYYYUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKSSSS.. anyway... since dad so wanted to try ding tai fung... we go and eat bah.... As usual.. it sucks....

Don't be deceived by the good looking pictures of the food... most of them sucks....

The Koo Chives bun was the worst.... the bun was nothing but koochives.. and taste bad.... =X...



The chilli crab xiao long bao was way better den their original... more chilli oil... take away the disgusting thick layer of flour... but still its not perfectly good to consume. =X

Went home and did my project after the lunch outing...

Had the worst day ever for the week. Am stupid enough to attend HRM lecture on Monday... wich was crap because that lecturer is a typical HR person... Always Think Think Think but never conclude. -_-" .... and den it was so boring... didnt really pay attention to wad he is saying. Seriously he sucks big thumb. And the topic he taught was something I learnt before... and I had to reach home after lecture and rush through my SM assignment.

Rushed my SM project on Monday... up till wee hours.. till 4am... and woke up at 8am just to go to school. Its like what the hell... I seriously regret going to the HRM lecture... i could have done better for my SM assignment I guess. Didnt really look thru and edit. Was so tired.... I just leave it to the fate of my hands and mind before hand. Just pray hard i dun have stupid gramatical errors and sentence structure problem... cos i am blur.. -_-" ...

Tuesday submit project den had lunch with Shaun on Tuesday. And he said my face was like if... I am going to die... tired until eyes oso look weird weird... Zzz.... Slept in the afternoon to make up....

Rest of the week was plain. GO SCHOOL... GO HOME WATCH TV... DEN SLEEP FOR NEXT MORNING...


Met up with Zhenhui on Thursday to watch UP.... Met and had dinner 1st... @ Dian Xiao Er.... Quite a meal at Dian Xiao Er... Ordered Ee-Fu Noodles to share.. and a Sesame Hunan Chicken only =)...




$11 per person... I love Ee-Fu noodles.... but i tink theirs is like 6/10 only... the hunan chicken was special.. but not too much a specialty to mention.

Watched UP after tat... the storyline was unique.. quite creative... and beri funny.. laughed all the way.... LOL.. I bet zen oso enjoyed the movie a lot.. he kept laughing too! LOL.. But I guess the funniest part was the angry dog tat has a chipmunk speech tone.... OMG -_-" .... Definitely a cartoon not to be missed this long weekend!

Went out with Shaun How on Saturday... OBJECTIVE: LA MIAN XIAO LONG BAO AT MARINA SQUARE.. I never get sick and tired of eating Marina Square's Imperial Treasure Xiao Long Bao.... Met him after his school.... went there to eat xiao long bao... we ordered 3 trays of xiaolongbao... 1.5 trays each.. meaning each person eat 6 xiaolongbao...

and ordered a bowl Hot & Sour Noodles each. Spent $16.50 in total a person. His taste and mine match. The XiaoLongBao in Marina is the nicest! =) Rocks... he commented its the freshness of the meat.. and the nice hot juice tat pops up when u bite the skin on it.... simply delicious... its finger likin' good! =)


It doesnt look as nice as the ones in Ding Tai Fung... but think in this perspective.. would you wan a nice looking xiaolongbao tat doesnt taste nice... or a good looking xiaolongbao tat taste nice?

Back to my projects after today's outing! =X Mugging all the way till start of next month.... den i can have a few weeks break b4 my exams.... =)
