Mabia's Birthday

I know this is kinda way back. Mabia's birthday! Went to her birthday party 2 weeks ago! She also lives in Bukit Panjang! Wah... i can say 50% of my friends live in Bukit Panjang. Within walkable distance.... haha... 30 mins ok lah hor? Haha... Scary mah! =X OMG...



Haha.. Had a nice time @ her house! =) Playing games and all.... The game I enjoyed best was BINGO! Close to winning! Sian diaoz.. almost win... 1st time i had 2 numbers left.. to jackpot... 2nd time i had 1 number left... sucks! Never win.... So close! Chin Leng oso wanted to continue the game but the rest didnt want! LOL....


Anyway, Cake... my favourite.. ate 2 slices of cake..haha... food was generally not bad... got my favourite tofu i remember.... the round round baked type... haha.... chicken and all... She decorated her house too.. coolz.... but lots of effort leh.. pity her friends and bf...haha.... not like me... jian jian dan dan...no decorations de..haha.... and oso never wear new clothes... sweat like hell tat time....so hot... HAHA!!!

Anyway mabia, thanks for the invite ya... u have been a nice host! =)


Mid-way in the exams... I declared myself one day off today.... haha.. went to watch "Knowing" at Causeway Point.... wah... today last day of the show... timing wasnt tat good.... ate my favourite hotdog combo inside cinema...


the movie was kinda freaky.... they have some parts tat r really omg....disturbing... but no bloody scenes though... but pretty mix of future robots.... traditional western devilistic kind of story ... quite weird overall... the story... but good to pass time.. I give it 7 out of 10 bah.. above average....


Had this craving for oyster omelette and wanton mee......... ate both together at 430pm... haha... breakfast was the hotdog combo in the cinema... lunch+dinner together at 430pm....

Anyway, my birthday's coming. I guess nobody has yet to prepare my birthday celebrations yeah? Quite sad.... Haha.. but no choice.... all having exams...but thankfully my birthday falls after my exams..so they can plan after their exams.. wonder wad surprise they will give me..... i can only wait and see.. =)

Anyway, its mum's birthday on thursday. Went to Goodwood Park Hotel for this Oreo Durian Cake. Taste yummy... quite rich in quality durian... overall quite nice.... and also some durian puffs to go along with. $55.30 for the 750g cake and 6 durian puffs (after 15% citibank discount)....




Last sunday also celebrated her birthday @ Marina Square's Imperial Treasure Restaurant... Ordered the fatty trotters to eat... today a bit too much of fatty meat.. if not would be nicer... and of cos my favourite xiaolong bao and lamian...

I hope next week things will go well for me... its my exams! LOL.... Den 7th may i will be free! LOL... AGAIN! Hope the weather goes cool soon.. and anyway, the hot weather is good in a way.... HAHA... cos i wun have the temptation to go out myself... i am stucked in my room.... LOL... at 16C Air-conditioning and Fan Speed 3 in the afternoon. Which makes my room 13 degrees???? which i dun tink so.. haha...

Anyway, although this song is nice. The location of the mtv quite wrong. The MTV is recorded in London. Winter time the sun sets at about 4pm. =X 日不落 doesnt seem to apply here. LOL! Cos the 日落 quite early leh! How to not 不落!

These few days the weather is darn hot. Seriously, its killing me! And I risk the chance of falling sick again! Cos of the hot weather! Zzz.. Melting!

It now feels like 38C... and is 33C in Bukit Panjang, according to Yahoo Weather. WHAT THE! Zzzz....

And when you know you are studying OT textbook in this hot weather! Seriously looks crappy and long winded..... you feel like burning the book! Zzz.... =X

Yesterday went watch movie with Tsianhwee. We almost melted in the Jurong Point cinema. The cinema is SO HOT! Zzz... sweating all over after the movie. The theatre was full and perhaps they didnt expect the crowd. So they on the air-con for 50 people bah... when there are about 500 people!



Watched 17 again yesterday on 17th April 2009. Its one month before my birthday! (HINT... Haha...) Movie overall not really tat interesting. Quite a normal story. The part where he turned 17 again and back to 17 was kinda crap. Seriously illogical and does not amuse you. If you are not a fan of Zac Efron. Probably u would not like this movie. Storyplot pretty plain. Although got some funny parts. Give it 6/10.


We ate ice cream dessert before heading for the movie. Ate at Benten Cafe at Jurong Point. The serving was pretty nice with lots of ice cream and fruits... yummy...taste nice oso... but the bottom... i rather they have less cereals... too much of it.. spoil the taste of the ice cream! LOL...

Before that we were at Yaki Yaki Bo, oso at Jurong Point...ordered the teriyaki chicken set meal @ $11.90++. The chawanmushi was nice! Haha... they teppanyaki it in front of u.. serve fresh! LOL....

It has been quite a while since I last blogged... WOW.. Close to a week. Apologies for not updating. These few days i have freaking lots of free time.. but i just do not have the mood to do anything. Which simply sucks... =X

Managed to get myself into the mood to study for my exams.. first i started with the subject i dread most. -_-"... organisation theory... sucks mann.... i tink i am aiming for a pass. Haix.... i got a 10/20 for my test. I seriously hope i wun be murdered on exam date. -_-" ... seriously after receiving the test results.. i simply lack the confidence to do well for OT. Zzz... Hope the project results will give me some motivation and confidence? =)

Managed to study only 2 chapters of the textbook for OT till now. Simply sucks! Tml is OT day... At home the whole day studying OT. Life is so sad. -_-"....

Never mind. Weekend will be nicer.... as i will be studying Leadership & Management. The whole of next week will be on buyer behaviour.. my favourite subject for this sem. Cos its a little bit more practical i find it.. easier to understand... and something familiar i studied somewhere somehow?

Anyway, lets not bother abt wad happens next. Lets bother abt wad happened earlier.

Anyway, Holiday week last week! What should I do? Supposedly it should be a nice week.. spending lots of money and enjoying the best that I can ever do while I start to prepare for exams starting next week. This week should be the "wadever oso can" week....

Surprisingly, it has been quite a bad week. Reason being? NO MONEY! MONEY MONEY MONEY! As you all know, I have retired from work since last July. Or if you dun count NS as work... since May 2006. Its quite amazing that I havent faced any financial problems yet even with my expensive spending habit since my retirement 2 years ago!

Zzz... Even Singapore Pools Bank isnt helping out this week. Didnt give me the $1.5 million! Haix

Went out these few days... But no money to spend... so i can only do window shopping... see but cannot buy... or buy things that i can go home to get back cash, like running errands for my mum... i like to buy things... i am a shopoholic! Zzz.....


Went out with Tsianhwee last saturday to Vivocity! We wanted to eat dinner the moment we reached there... find kim gary restaurant... heard its famous with lots of nice hongkong food???? But we ended up in hawker centre eating (dunch) (Lunch+Dinner) after seeing the char kway teow stall at the seah im hawker centre... anyway, it wasnt too perfect.. just passable to me...


We ended up missing the restaurant as the queue was too long.... and ended up at barcelos restaurant.... the shopfront attracted me to eat.. overall the selling point was more on the sauce of the chicken.. the chicken portion was quite small.... wun make u full.... the chicken was alright but didnt really suit my taste... i prefer kenny rogers better actually....

i can say.... for $13 (1/4 chicken)... its quite pathetic to see such a small portion.... without drinks somemore for the set... the set oso included a soup... which was clear chicken soup... omg.. the chinese type... -_-".. they have a weekday afternoon promotion which is $11 with drinks i tink.... can try once... the sauce is somewhat special in a way... ordered the supa peri... damn hot... careful if you cant take too hot stuff....


Watched Handsome Suit after tat... i give the movie 8.5 / 10. Overall the movie was a funny comedy throughout... we both kept laughing... storyplot oso not bad.. quite entertaining as u dunno wad might happen next. Seriously, if you are having exams and too stressed up, perhaps u can consider giving them a visit during weekend for some laughters... really entertaining.

Ate Japanese food on Sunday with family. Cheese sushi and chicken floss sushi with bacon from Ichiban Sushi @ Bukit Panjang Plaza ... pretty unique.... and a nice beef rice...... =)





Went out with Shaun How on Monday. He's late as usual. =X ... when can he change the habit mann... meet him at 1pm... but he reached at 130pm...but den the movie starts at 155pm and we need to go YISHUN! Zzz... so i asked him to pay cab fare... if not no need go liao... -_-" ..


Went to Yishun to watch "Metal Detroit City" ... Overall movie was funny at some part... wow.. i can really say.. the actor looks ugly without the ghost makeup.... lol.... he looks suave though when he's with the white makeup.. wondered why.. LOL... anyway, quite funny.. worth the value actualy...


Went to meet zhenhui after tat ... oso at yishun... went to chong pang to eat cze char... wah... ex... $27 for 3 dishes + 2 rice.... 3 dishes are vegetables, hotplate beancurd and sesame chicken i tink... quite ex... and we kinda regretted... should have gone to dine at some restaurant... air-con environment with free drinks..costs less than tat.. lol..

Had a nice time chatting there.. =)

Went to Tampines 1 after tat for a walk... as usual my bad habit... go supermarket.. see candies and i help them clear stock.. bought strawberry licorice... wine gums and mint gums... my fav 3.... OMG.... DEADED.... wow.. the new shopping centre quite crowded for a weekday! Pretty scary...

Anyway, once exams over.... Gotta find a job soon! =X

Holiday Week

Monday was Pengyong's belated birthday! LOL... Pengyong drove today.... had to return his rented car at UBI... so weida and i took his car, accompanied him to return his car before we went to Little India's Parkroyal @ Kitchener Road Hotel for buffet lunch.



Quite funny theme. Teochew Porridge Buffet for birthday! Looks like we went budget due to economic crisis. Haha..... Actually not. Costs $23.30 after 20% UOB discount. The ambience was nice. Cos... there are less than 8 tables occupied and the restaurant has about 40-50 tables. They gave us a cubicle where we could enjoy our meal in quiet and nice garden environment.



Overall the teochew porridge was nice... Me, being a Teochew, actually dun really like Teochew porridge de.. haha.... cos dun eat salted fish and a lot of the rest. Haha... But okay la... tasted it and find its better den those u can find it outside.... the braised duck was nice.... with a few other dishes... better than average. The roti prata was hot and crispy! With nice curry filling! Haha...



Came here with tekong mates back den... the weekend buffet was much better.. they had banana prata and all.... probably more expensive, more variety... haha.... if not the buffet would have been better...



They have a nice dessert corner.... haha... i tink the other time the weekend buffet was better...haha... more variety.. today still ok only. LOL... Free flow ice cream, cappuncino and all.... haha...



The ambience for the restaurant is 100 marks. We had a great time chatting while eating our food. =) Food wise 80 marks. Can have more food selection. Although we were quite full and didnt even touch the sashimi section at all.


Anyway, we struggled to finish the food. Haha.. took too much of the porridge dishes.. See how "mianqiang" he looks.. haha... anyway, he posed for this picture. LOL....

Anyway, one lesson we learnt. In a buffet, always take for yourself. And not for others. This way, you can eat more types of food you like and be less full. YOu enjoy more. Reason being you usually take wad u like to eat more. End up u suffer cos u gotta finish all the food u like tat people cant finish. =X


Went to watch Shinjuku Incident after tat... the movie was nice! I give it 7/10. =) ... but jackie chan a bit too old liao.... dun have much fighting scenes and action liao.... haha... but overall the story plot was nice... wu yan zu character quite suay... haha.... pity him sia... lol...

Hope pengyong enjoyed his day. Wondered how my birthday will be like this year. Haha... Hint: I want surprise. =)


Managed to psycho my mum to go out with me to eat snow ice on Saturday. I was telling her how nice the ice was, with all those mango fillings... she got tempted to try it and said "OK LOR... lets go!"


LOL... Haha.. went to Hougang Mall for snow ice and "dun-dan" or "dan-lai" in cantonese..... Well... mummy and i fierce.... we ordered one dan lai and snow ice each to eat... LOL... purpose of the outing is to eat ICE! LOL.... Quite scary.... my mum finish the 2 desserts faster than me lah! Had to wait for me!

I ordered the mocha snow ice today wich didnt taste nice... compared to the mango wich is like so nice!

Had dinner @ Xiao Xuan Feng with her. cos of the 50% citibank discount! Haha.. 2 person pay 50% less.... we ordered 7 dishes... ordered too much for dinner... one xiaolongbao, one durian puree, one guo tia, one har kau, one fried beancurd skin, one mango pudding, one i dunno wad u call tat... crispy crispy de...

Overall the xiaolong bao wasnt tat impressive.. marina's nicer.... the better ones are the fried beancurd skin and the crispy crispy thing... the durian puree would be nicer if its less watery and less sweet.



Went out with Yim, Wen, Jes to Party World KTV on Sunday. Wow.. it has been a while since I last went to KTV le... since last year??



Wah... my voice certainly sucks big time.... havent practised singing for a long long time.... and i do not know what i can sing... seem to be running out of songs.. cant even select the song i want to sing later... sing so many oldies.. the songs just got older and older....





We went to eat at Sanur Indonesian Restaurant @ Ngee Ann City after that. Well, i can say... i tink the food is too ordinary.... and quite expensive.. the tauhu goreng is the one tat u can't home-made.




The rest... taste like home food. Not beri unique and would not make you feel like visiting tat kind.... haix... =X Funny part was tat... DBS got 10% off... and 4 of us dun have a DBS / POSB card! Haha.... So we end up paying the 100%.




Went out with Shaun on Tuesday to eat Delifrance at Bukit Panjang. Quite a budget outing! LOL.... I ordered the student meal ... haha... which is $7.40 NETT while shaun, cos not student, (He havent bribe SIM to give him student card)... haha... jus joking... pays $9.30 for his adult set meal.

End up my set was better.. cos i can choose from 6 choices.. for main course.. while he can only have the main course for the day. =X And also, i got ice cream and he got a cake for his dessert. I got a Sprite and he got a coffee.



Haha... Diaoz... student benefits really a lot. Pay less eat better. His beef spaghetti looks great though... my cheesy chicken mushroom baked rice was extremely good although i still like the chicken baked rice at swensens better... maybe i addicted to it.... haha...



But the standard for the baked rice at delifrance was good. Didnt have a good impression of bistro delifrance actually but after eating the nice cheesy baked rice.. i willing to come again for student meal! LOL....

There was also a soup to go along with. =)
