Leave 2 days =D

On leave these 2 days! Went to see doctor yesterday morning for my sore throat and cough! Den went Dentist in the afternoon..... den bought new goldfishes! =D All my goldfish died before new year... Finally had the time to buy! LOL.... Bought 4 big goldfishes (Ryukin species)! SO BIG! LOL.... $6 each only! Tink it would have costed a bomb if we bought it 10 years ago! Nowadays goldfishes are so cheap!

Early morning woke up to rush to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Grandpa admitted to hospital yesterday and going for scheduled operation today to remove the lump in his big intestine..... See him for last time before he goes for the op..... Reached there at 10am..... den u noe wad.... the hospital transferred him to the operation theatre before we could see him.... its like "wtf"..... didnt even inform us.....

they couldnt give us the time of his operation even up till today and promised to call before he goes for op.... damn angry lo.... den asked the nurses they say he finished operation... in fine condition .... in level 6....den when we prompt again abt his whereabouts.... they say "dunno"..... -_-" ..... den they reconfirm saying he havent go op.... -_-" ..... so is go op or havent go? Den later they say he's in level 3.... so where he is?

Den after tat at 11am they call again to say he's gg for operation now. Its like "wads the use"..... u dun even let us see the patient by now... should ask us be there at 9am to see him before u transfer him to the out-of-bounds operation theatre.... den they say 1 hr later he will be out of operation.... so we stayed at starbucks to drink coffee... den end up 1:30pm the op finish.... cos they reconfirm say need 3 hrs..... -_-"....


Anyway, damn pissed off..... before tat my grandmother and uncle oso "dio tua" (got sabotaged) .... ttsh dunno whether they got bed anot.... den tell my grandma on Wednesday that on Thursday morning will give her a call to bring him there.... den
called to ask her to bring him at 10:30am...... den when she brought him there...they say its 3:30pm.... they say either 10:30am or 3:30pm.... 4get to say "or"... zzzz....

I swear next time i dun wan to go there for my hospitalization! So cocked-up! Grandpa fine though....visiting him in the evening....


Anyways, walked around Novena..... Square 2, Novena Square...wah...nowadays so many shops liao... some of them are Pepperlunch, SOL Mart (The other outlet is at basement Cineleisure) .... Pasta De Waraku.... Bought a nice cake from one of the cake shop, The Royals @ Square 2! Damn nice! LOL.....

One year in Log Branch!

Wow.... Didnt realise I already posted to Log Branch for 1 year liao... Since 230207.

But guess out of most of the units, I tink Log Branch is the better one out of the rest. In terms of environment, welfare and workload...

1st day in Log Branch was the funniest. I go halfday cos HR owes me 0.5 day off..... cos they decide to post me on Thursday to Log Branch on Friday and 4got my off.. so i went branch to show myself there and went home after 4 hrs.... lol....

Quite a quiet office..... One phone call comes and you can feel all of a sudden the whole branch is so noisy! Liked the quiet environment!

Superiors wise oso not bad lah.... so far the best..... quite friendly direct superiors...

Workload... Pretty manageable cos I am so called the Admin I/C for that branch... so it really depends on me meeting on my own target and deadline...usually i set myself... cos most of the work are monthly basis.... kind of OTOT kind of workload.. u dont finish on the 1st.... u die on the 31st.....

Welfare wise... of cos nice lah.... go out of office is at ur own timing... doesnt really restrict you on specific time wad time to eat..... but den problem is ownself must go control..... and the cohesions we went..... Pariss, den Kushin-bo den chalet @ east coast!

Colleagues wise...urmz..oso ok lah... except those I close with always MC de....haha... so seldom got chance to tok to de...lol..... same topic one a bit less in tat branch... though they are ok....

So always go HR find my old friends when I was there beforehand.. though different branch everyday go home together...lol... liase with them almost everyday..

Understudy not bad.... always look very blur when teaching but noes everything de... so no need worry! Haha....

Worst thing abt this whole camp is weekend duties and the low allowance given by saf... =X

Puff.... and its nearing March.....

Wow..... I just realised time passes so fast! Its coming March next week! LOL..... That means my ORD date is coming to an end...... ! Yeah..... Right now I can count by one hand..... 5 months left! 145 days to ORD!

This week has been so boring! Everyday waiting and waiting for 5:30pm..... -_-" ... See I got nothing to blog about... Life has been a single line.... di........... This weekend is worst off....duty on Sunday and today leh? Visit to AH in the morning for my weight mgmt programme.....

Cant wait for Timothy to send me the photos we took at East Coast Park last Saturday!!! Tata.... hope i can post them up in my next post......

Chinese New Year 2008 (Part 3)

WEDNESDAY
Had a nice and hearty meal at home last week! LOL.... As my brother suggested, we should each have a taste of how the emperor in the past savours his food.... Abalone Dinner.... each one to have a full abalone to eat for dinner.... and due to the amazing cheap prices of abalone this year, we managed to buy extra cans of New Zealand New Moon abalones at only $34 per can! LOL.... Ate yusheng and shark's fins too! =)The abalone I ate! Taking its last moments b4 it goes into my mouth!

THURSDAY
Went out with Weida on Thursday night, valentine's day (we aint an item)! LOL....
managed to meet him in the evening at Tampines Mall.... took 966 den transfer to bus 23 at jalan kolam ayer.... took me only 1 hr! Havent eaten seoul garden for a while...wth.... its now $25 per person! OMG! but we already meet there liao.. den didnt feel like eating other stuff...so we ate... new menu with additional meat choices like coffee chicken...... nice la....still can eat..perhaps we will only eat at most twice a year.... or maybe even once a year? wait till we are students bah....come back as students to eat student price during lunch!

SATURDAY
Went out with Shaun, Weizhong, Kenneth and gf, Timothy and gf.... to east coast park to cycle ..shant elaborate any further while i wait for the photos to come!

SUNDAY
Went out with Zhenhui and Tsianhwee today! Its been a while since we last meet outside.... =D..... First thing first we did was to head down to the Esplanade Haagen Daz outlet to eat ice-cream and fondue.... LOL.... =D ... Utilize my $50 voucher I had from my birthday last year! plus my own $10 UOB voucher...LOL....
Ordered a fondue...with all the scoops of ice-cream, biscuits, fruits.. =D .... nice time eating it.... the hot warming chocolate was nice.... with the peanuts crumbs..... the ice cream scoops were of course the main focus.....=D ... nice flavours tat can really melt ur heart... and we ordered 2 drinks to share..... a chocolate shake and a raspberry shake......

After the teabreak, we proceed on to catch "Jumper" at Marina Square.... the movie was kinda nice....funny and getting more and more exciting towards the 50% to 75% part of the show.... but ending sucks big thumb.... But still overall entertaining....


Walked around Marina Square and even went to the asa holidays travel fair at Suntec... lol.... looking around for brochures and finding out inspirations of where we should go for our upcoming proposed HongKong trip at the end of this year! LOL...

Went over to Marina Square again to eat Waraku..... oso using my $50 voucher tat i got from my $40 1-year waraku membership! LOL... The ramen was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the curry gravy and soup base most! LOL... noodles oso beri "Q".... Not forgetting the delicious butter scallops (i do eat some seafood) and gyoza.... =D

Look at all the food! Delicious rite! Yeapz.... And they taste as good as the way they look.... Looks like I have to invite all my good friends all over to eat Waraku sometime or then!

Took 960 back home after tat.... walked zhenhui home (kinda) .... cos i wanted to take this photo! (my house bus stop dun have these weird weird bus plates) ... SBS Bus Stop Plates without numbers.... LOL..... Looks like SBS Transit is going to have a new service or something in Bukit Panjang area soon!!!!

But i speculate it to be an amendment of 3N as the plates are all one-sided..... and all over and along Bukit Panjang Ring Road, Senja Road, Choa Chu Kang Way and Teck Whye Avenue.... Hope i can see something come out from www.sbstransit.com.sg soon.... looks like this is wad i am anticipating to see over this week! I am so easily satisfied.... OMG!

Cant wait to see SBST buses at my house bus stop!

Chinese New Year 2008 (Part 2)

Movies I have watched over the new year =D
By order of choice....

No 1 - CJ7

Its very funny! LOL.. the movie is at one point of time touching...and the movie is funny throughout! Laughed all the way though some are extremely lame... but stephen chow mah.... he dun act already funny enuff to make u laugh le! The storyplot is extreme sometimes...juz to catch the surprise laughing element.... Liked the alien, CJ7's emotions and cute character best! LOL.... And oso the comparison of wad an alien can do vs wad the alien actually could do..... acting was well done... plottig and touch-up was best..... Stephen Chow has done well.... the girl who acted as a boy oso managed to cover herself up as a small boy without noone realising she's actually a girl =D


No 2 - Ah Long Pte Ltd

Despite low ratings given by relatives, outsiders and reviews...i went ahead to watch it...and its funny lo..... cos i watched so many jack neo's movies and none managed to disappoint me... lol.... much of singapore's context is being touched and there are some parts tat i really enjoyed..... the ending was kinda abrupt...and perhaps could have spoilt the overall movie..... but overall it is still a movie worth ur $8! =D....


No 3 - Kungfu Dunk
Though Jay Chou's movie is also entertaining and funny enuff to make me laugh..... with lots of Kungfu Soccer actors and actresses participating in the show.... the movie was kinda fake...... cos there are too many computer graphics showing jay chou's superb basketball skills wich is rather fake.... and as i am not a jay chou fan, perhaps it made me concentrate more on the movie itself..... the movie itself u can really expect wads coming next for the movie.... a rather simple love story.... perhaps if u've watched the other...can consider tis one....

Day 3


Went out with Shaun in the afternn after eating lunch with my family at Swensen's....ordered Beef Baked Rice...not nice de...prefer Chicken Baked Rice more...somemore cheaper... oso ordered an ice-cream to eat! Ate Mayim with Shaun in the mid-afternn teabreak.... ate durian tarts, char siew chee cheong fun and some other desserts and not forgetting my favourite soup at Mayim at West Mall.... den watch Jack Neo's latest Ah Long Pte Ltd.... den bought Burger King home for dinner =D

Day 4


Went out with JWJW to Vivocity....took 963 there...after abt 1 hr we finally reached Vivocity..... -_-" ..... Reached there liao....watched Kungfu Dunk @ 1:30pm..followed
by CJ7 @ 5:00pm....had a long day....walked to Ben & Jerry's to have a shared ice cream with 3 scoops of ice cream... 1 scoop of Monkey Chunky, Chocolate and Cookies & Cream flavours... den went on to eat dinner @ Kopitiam...ate kway chap
there...kinda regret cos its day 4 and there's still no pork coming to singapore till Day 5..... !!!! So it muz be New Year's eve meat! But overall still good to go....can eat without smell or much compromise in quality....den went back home...

Day 5
Finally back at work...had a busy day! Zzzz.... Ate @ Bukit Timah Hawker Centre after work .... ate the laksa there..katong laksa but it isnt the authentic stall that's famous..... the laksa is too sweet!!!! Sucks...omg...never eaten such a sweet laksa in my life..... den went to meet pengyong at bukit panjang plaza to eat dinner 2...wth rite? LOL... no choice...shaun last min meet me.....


anyway, had a today's special @ subway - turkey cheese sandwich....damn nice!!! Now Bukit Panjang oso got subway liao....beri gd! I love subway a lot! =D ..... bp outlet store layout not bad....nt like cineleisure or the one at harborfront....cramp and uneasy walking in..... at least people are walking in without much stress.... imagine u have to go through 5 rounds of ordering and the staff is facing at u and u cant look at the price list properly?? (cos i am myopic but dont wear specs) and 1st timers wondering how much the sandwich costs...???? i used to fear walking in as it seems rather difficult to order the sandwich.... but now its different!


Anyway, went to my house to pai-nian together with weida and pengyong...visited each other's house after wich.... by den its day 6 when i reached home!

Day 6
Almost fainted today.... so sleepy.... cant see properly as i walked up the stairs to my office....thankfully i woke up at abt 8:30am... lol.... i was in half asleep mode though my eyes are opened....cos ytd 3am den sleep... lol...


went out with choon yan, shengde and boonsheng after work! Lol...we went to rail mall to eat ramen ramen... ate miso soup ramen and a complimentary vanilla ice cream....damn nice...long time since i go rail mall! Saw asraf there! LOL... long time never see him liao.... =D

This episode angered a lot of Singaporeans when Selina, Xu Wei (Sarcastic English Teacher in the show) and a few others commented on Singapore's poor English ....
when their english in none other better...

Anyway, funny English all the way...worth watching.... Things like Starbucks becoming "Sta si ba si" and Monday, Tuesbay, Wensday.

Part 3 is the part tat angered Singapore.... and they made examples that singaporeans wun even commit!

Chinese New Year 2008 (Part 1)

Went out with zen on tuesday to watch Sweeney Todd.... pretty sadist movie! LOL.... but the musical was nice and i really enjoyed the way they acted and present themselves..wow....i am one more step towards being more appreciative of the arts... Though not much of the storyline.... but u really enjoy this form of art! LOL... pretty sadist movie...the barber goes on a killing strike and kills his customers on the 2nd floor and den sends the bodies to be made into pies to serve to customers on the 1st floor.... bloody movie indeed....

Went to eat stingray and dinner with him after the movie b4 we took cab home.... we were conned by the IRIS which says there's a nite owl service on tat day when there isnt..... waited for like 35 mins b4 we decided to take cab home...lol.... reached home like 1:30am....

LOL... Last year didnt really celebrate CNY! Had a short work week! LOL... 1 day for Tuesday.... Wednesday was CNY Celebrations in camp... reached camp at 8am..... den went down to eat Reunion Lunch Buffet at the car park ..... LOL.... Not bad...this year's food is much better.... Many buffet stations and they even have a waitress cooking the korean-style chicken... and laksa, though too sweet... mango pudding.... hotdogs.... chicken wings.... and many others....

The whole stage looked like the 7th month reunion dinner though... with all white background and no chinese new year wordings....and they hired baobei jie mei to sing 881's ji lang ji pua..... den 2 regulars sabotaged themselves to go up to the stage to sing and dance.... lol.... anyway, had MCs to sing cny song and games to play..... den went home with a nice big bag of goodies home... but cos tai sun got the contract...so its a peanuts goodie bag... all peanuts... u mean it i have it.... abt 1-2kg of peanuts... with 2 mandarin oranges and best wishes from my immediate boss... lol....


proceed home after the lunch ..... den slept in the afternn.... den it was time for reunion dinner.. the usual.... steamboat dinner.... at former grandma's house in ghim moh.... ate abalone (my fav.).....kidney (my fav.), fish maw (yu piao)(my fav.) pork meat, fishballs... =D yummy...like steamboat a lot...esp when they have abalone, kidney and fish maw inside... den received lots of ang pows..... from my uncles and aunts... =D.... met up with my dad's side cousins too... den went back home after a while.....

this year is a little bit different cos ah ma is no longer around..... this world is weird....
u never appreciate until they are gone..... still remember 1st day of CNY where we will painian with oranges and den she will give me and ang-pow and my breakfast will be a bowl of vegetarian soup with all the canned mock abalone, mock meat....mushroom.... and tau-kee.....

1st day of CNY! Went to my "ma-ma" (mother's side grandma) house in toa payoh at ard
noon... we were the earliest..lol...pai-nian with "ma-ma" and "gong-gong"...get ang pow... den ate lunch at her house.... she is good at cooking! much better than my mum... cos she used more time to cook i tink.... the smell of the gravy seeps in better to the meat.. LOL... loved her black sauced pork with mushroom best..followed by chicken curry.... and fish maw soup ... =D .... met my mum's side cousins.... lol... collect ang pows... lol....

den went to my mum's relative houses.... in bishan, ang mo kio... den later at nite went to "da-gu's" house to eat dinner.... got laksa...again..yes i noe.... these few days keep eating laksa...haha..but better lah...juz nice ... not too hot....not too sweet... juz perfect.... abalone laksa with fish biscuits... (yu bing).... oso ate cheesecake made by my cousin...de-li-cious..... ! went back home after tat...how i guo my chu yi...


today chu er visit relatives again... at teck whye.... tats all....

den ate pizza hut with mum and dad....prosperity meal.... the cny special pizza.... den went esplanade there to walk walk "chun dao he pan" ..... kanasai!!!! NOTHING DE!!!! ADVISE TO ALL! NOT WORTH IT! DONT GO THERE... we took only 35 mins to walk.... plus 10 mins walk from car park..... nothing to eat... juz like normal pasar balam.... with all the games stall... not much on cny decorations....zzz....no specialty food for u to sample from china (like xiao long bao..... hot and sour dumpling) as well.....

waiting for zhenhui and tsianhwee to come to my house later to pai-nian... lol....

God of fortune oso lose weight liao.. looks like i gotta lose weight this year.. LOL....

Hospital Week!

Lol... tis is a non working week aka hospital week!

But nonetheless I am so busy until I need to take taxi! Can you imagine that????

Sunday went out with Tsianhwee to Orchard....watched The House at Cineleisure.... a while since I last caught a movie with friends.... The movie was damn scary..... but den not much of storyline... so its kinda lame.... the overall objective is to scare ur wits out..... and a teenage girl shouted for nothing (she tot something horrible is gg to happen) during the movie and everyone started laughing instead.... its kinda bloody...preferred body #19....


Anyway, we walked around Paragon after tat and saw a lot of new eateries... wow..... saw tis amazing pasta shop... selling cheesecakes tat looked so yummy and tempting...but we havent had dinner so no choice...look but never buy.... and oso breadtalk selling new varieties of cakes tat looked so yummy, wad attracted me was the mango flavoured with mango slices all over the cake....


Den we decided to head to Bugis to eat dinner at Tongshui Cafe..... Nice food.... the durian puree bread was damn nice and we enjoyed it...ordered spicy noodles and ice milk tea to go along...not 4getting my likeable paper wrapped chicken...

oso ate at the opposite dessert shop, Ji De Chi, ate Steamed milk with sesame paste.... not exactly as nice as the shop we tried b4 next to Chinatown...

Monday was on off..... wake up and went to BBDC in the morning at 8am...my 1st 8am driving lesson on a weekday! OMG! I can say that I had to fight a war with the "Z-monster" ... OMG! Den screwed up! I still cant do parallel parking properly! Zzzz..... tink now at least got go in...but not beri fast yet...hope more practice will help...

Rushed to AH after tat..... Juz realised I have signed up for a weight management programme at AH for the next 4 months..... den took height and weight, take blood sample, check heartbeat, see doctor, see dietician... and now i have a pedometer attached to me..... walking around with it...aiming for 10,000 steps a day .... walking more to cut down....

1st day progress ....not beri gd...only made it at 6,500 steps.... Hope I can do that...tink tis 10,000 step thing might work...aiming for 10,000 steps daily!

Went for another driving lesson after tat...and i realised i got no time after my lunch ...eating wanton mee at alexandra village....had to take a cab to bbdc to cover up the time tat i couldnt make it by bus....

Bought Crystal dumpling (shui-jing-bao in mandarin or zui-jia-bao in teochew) at the hawker centre...damn nice lo..last time in tiong bahru market de...now move to alexandra village hawker centre liao....Hehe.... finally found it after years..... nice lo..liked the black one esp with the bean paste and the crystal dumpling skin covering the filling....

Tuesday went for MA to check my eye at NUH.... Doctor say my eyes has got no problems, except tat i might be allergic to certain things tat i am aware of.... or maybe cos i always get in contact with those with sore eyes....wtf.....Nonetheless, I was given an MC to rest for tat day after pulling my eyelids..my god... damn pain.....


For a healthier choice, I ate delifrance for lunch at NUH food court.... chicken filling croissant with lots of veggie, tomatoes in it... and a vegetable soup.... and ice lemon tea...but den mouth pain.... i bought a curry chicken puff to add in.... den end up i was so full..... Kinda regret!



Wednesday went SGH for MA...wah...my nose doctor say now worst than last time.... -_-" .. bloody nose.... lots of blood vessels burst cos i scratch my nose too much.... tats y bleeding..... say i needa see her again 6 weeks later..... anyways, walked over to Chinatown Hawker Centre to eat Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo...wanted to eat the original famous one but needa queue like 40 mins at least..... -_-" .. somemore late afternoon den i was there..... i go queue.... queue liao uncle say finish liao den die lo..... play safe....

den took CT8 (chinatown direct) $1.80 direct bus to ang mo kio..... to achieve my 10,000 steps.... walked around amk hub in the early evening... -_-" ..... but made it at 8,500 steps....



went to buy four seasons durian pancakes, puffs and mochi at amk hub.. damn nice.. the smell really melts my heart... so delighting! fresh durian melting in ur mouth.... sweetz....
